Porcelain and Ceramic – These two types of tiles share many more similarities than differences since they are made the same way, although their exact composition varies slightly. They are both waterproof and easy to manage.

• Slate Bathroom tile designs– Slate tiles have an almost masculine feel and their deep, rich colors are beautiful. It can be difficult to choose durable slate tiles although some slate is long lasting while other pieces seem to crumble with little wear. Slate is recommended for low traffic areas because of this variance.
The reason to seal stone is because stone is porous and sealing cuts down on staining. That’s critical in a kitchen or on a countertop, but much less so in a low traffic bathroom.
